Kylie Minogue - Stonemason
After an early career in TV in Australia, a few disappointing films and a long running spell as a pop princess, during which time I continually reinvented myself, I was ill for a while. On recovering I realisied that I wanted a new direction to my life, so I auditioned for Peel in London. The adverts were great, as was the whole recruitment procedure. I was so lucky (lucky, lucky, lucky) to get on to the Emerald team and started rehearsals right away.
It was then that I met James Stone. He was directing a murder mystery, which was great fun, but whilst chatting to him during a naked lunch break – one of his specialties – I realised that I wanted to become a stonemason, just like him. Now I’ve left the world of entertainment behind and spend all day working on stone. I am so happy and fulfilled and there are no extra duties.
